Irupathiyonnam Noottandu Review
Pranav Mohanlal's 'Irupathiyonnam Noottandu' has hit the screens today.
The film has been directed by
Arun Gopy, who made a swashbuckling debut with the movie Ramaleela, in 2017.
Irupathiyonnaam Noottandu is also the second venture of Pranav Mohanlal as the
lead hero and the audiences have pinned up good amount of expectations on this
movie.
Appu is this average Goan
youth who runs a homestay and is also into watersports. His father Baba, who
was a gangster once, wants Appu to follow his footsteps but the latter is
denies and lives life peacefully on his own terms. When the heroine Zaya David
makes an entry as a fun loving tourist in the first half and the romantic track
of the film also begins with it
Things take an U-turn when
Zaya goes missing. which leaves you breathless wondering how the future events
will unravel.
The film has an average first
half. But, it has also been added that film is technically rich. There is a
special mention about the Dulquer Salmaan reference in the movie as well as the
pre-interval portion.
Arun Gopy’s writing is plain
and lacks novelty. Even with a simple storyline, things would work out if the
screenplay is tight and The makers succeed only partially here as there is a
lack of coherence throughout with plenty of loopholes.
On the technical front,
Abhinandan Ramanujam’s cinematography was impressive. Gopi Sunder’s music was
adequate and mass-enhancing background score.
